Where are you located?

I am located in Denver, Colorado and serve all districts in and around the Denver area. However, I am happy to consult and provide support to you no matter where you are. While there are differences between states and districts with IEP formatting and/or language, IEP components are mandated by a federal law called IDEA.

Help! I don’t live in Colorado, can I still work with you?

Yes!! Absolutely. While I am based in Colorado, I am happy to consult and provide support to you no matter where you are. While there are differences between states and districts with IEP formatting and/or language, IEP components are mandated by a federal law called IDEA.

Are you an attorney?

No. I am not an attorney and cannot offer you legal advice or represent you in due process. My goal is to help you navigate the special education system and provide support to help your child receive a free appropriate public education. I am more cost effective.

Do you guarantee that my child will get everything we ask for?

There are no guaranteed outcomes in special education. I can, however, guarantee that I will work as hard for your child as I have for my own. I am passionate about what I do and believe that every child deserves a free appropriate public and private education. I take this passion and belief with me into every meeting.

What is a special education advocate?

A special education advocate may not be a lawyer, but they do have legal knowledge. Part of their job requires knowing and understanding the rights of children with special needs and their parents. While this knowledge does not let them represent you in court, it does help ensure that the school meets its legal obligations. More…
